I'm Back

Hello all! Just got back from a nice week-long vacation full of the sun and Sailboatsthe ocean.  I spent the week with college friends and their families relaxing and exploring Rockport, MA. To the right is a picture of some sailboats and below is a picture of the beautiful Front Beach.

So while I was gone, I unfortunately missed three episodes of Big Brother, and an episode of Hell's Kitchen as the tv was very rarely turned on, which was fantastic.  But last night I had the opportunity to watch last week's episode of Hell's Kitchen.

So last week Julia was booted from Hell's Kitchen but not before Chef Ramsey gave her a parting gift ... he is paying for her to go to culinary school because she has so much natural talent.  What a parting gift. Hey, she is getting a free ride to culinary school and experience that will land her a great job for sure.

Last night on Hell's Kitchen, we said goodbye to the person I really thought might win the competition.  Jen was booted. It was very obvious that Chef Ramsey really liked Jen, but he must see something in Bonnie and Rock that Jen is lacking.  I think that might be the confidence necessary to run your own restaurant.

So now it is down to Bonnie and Rock and I think I am pulling for Bonnie, the Nanny/personal chef.  What do you think?

Speaking of Emmy Nods

American Idol received its fifth Emmy Nod.  They continuously have lost to "Amazing Race."  I will keep my fingers crossed this year!

Project Runway receives Emmy Nod

Yay for Project Runway.  It received its third Emmy Nod.  Maybe it will actually win one this year.

Speaking of Project Runway, I want it to come back on!

Apology

Hello people. I am writing to apologize about not posting recently.  I have had some major projects being worked on here at the office and I am trying to get them all wrapped up before I head out for a week-long vacation. So I haven't had a lot of time to blog.

I will say that I haven't really found a reality TV show that really catches my attention this summer. I am watching Big Brother 8 when I can and it is a decent season.  I must say that Jen needs to get booted and that is about all I have to say about the show.

So I will try to do a post tomorrow before I head out, otherwise, have a great week.

Clay Aiken dispute?

Well, well, who would have thought that a former American Idol contestants foot resting on an armrest of a nearby passenger on an airplane would lead to a spat? According to this article on CNN, that is exactly what happened to Clay Aiken.

Big Brother 8

Tonight marks the season premier of Big Brother 8.  I watched this and followed it a bit last year and figured I will check it out tonight to see how I like this season.  According to the CBS website contestants will have an unwelcome person from their past sharing the house with them.  Let's just say this will be an extremely tense house.

I am off tomorrow but will try to blog before I leave for the weekend.  If I can't, please feel free to post your comments on Big Brother 8 here.

Hell's Kitchen

Hey! Did any of you catch Hell's Kitchen last night? I had something to go to and didn't get home until after 10.  I would love an update if you have it.

Happy Fourth all!

Kelly Clarkson - "My December"

So I have been listening to Kelly Clarkson's new CD.  It sounds alright so far.  I am not sure that it will have as many major hits as before, but I could be wrong.  Check it out here and let me know what you think.

Vinnie goes buhbye

I could never be a contestant on a show like Hell's Kitchen.  Gordon Ramsay is way too mean for me to be able to handle, but hey, he makes good TV.

So last night's first challenge consisted of being given pieces of food while blind folded and having to identify the food.  It was rather interesting to see how well some of them did and how poorly others did. The red team (the women) won the challenge and were taken to Opaque a restaurant where they eat in the dark.  I must say, that would be quite the interesting experience.

While the women were out enjoying their win, the men were prepping the kitchens for both teams and then were given a lunch of some of the most disgusting food possible.  Cow's tongue, pig tongue, liver and some other gross stuff.

After the kitchen opened for service, the two teams were told that the customers would be deciding the winner, and well, there was no winner. Both teams did poorly. In the end Gordon over rode the decisions that the contestants made and put Bonnie and Vinnie on the chopping block.

Vinnie ended up going home.  Next week Hell's Kitchen opens up for a wedding.

Any of you listened to it yet?
