MONTPELIER — It took awhile, but winter is finally here.

As of 8:30 a.m., it was 16.7 degrees in Montpelier.

The National Weather Service in Burlington is forecasting a 40 percent chance of snow with little to no accumulation and a high of 40 degrees.

There's a 40 percent chance of snow tonight and a low of 18.

Tomorrow, look for clear skies and a high of 24 with a slight chance of snow tomorrow night and a low of 15.
