The Thrush Tavern to become the Clean Slate Cafe

MONTPELIER — It won't be open for another month or so, but the Thrush Tavern is currently being transformed into what's going to be called the Clean Slate Cafe.

In November I wrote a story about the restaurant's new owner, Athena Cua, in which she said her plan is to create a family-friendly restaurant where the old Thrush Tavern used to be.

At the time, Cua was hoping to have the restaurant open by early January, but the amount of work turned out to be far more involved than she had expected.

The Clean Slate Cafe is expected to be open in February.
