Left, Right...Both?
I read the New York Times sports section as often as I remember to, and I thought I had seen it all when the AP moved a story about Bridgewater State scoring 57 runs in a win over Newbury a few days ago.
Wrong.
I was sifting through the NYT online tonight whilest watching Dice-K's Boston debut, and I see this headline in the Most Read section about throwing batters a curve before throwing the pitch. I figured it was about tipping pitches, which I think is really an interesting conundrum.
It was actually this piece about Pat Venditte, a pitcher at Creighton who is ambidextrous. This kid switches it up mid-at-bat. Two gloves? No. He has a custom glove, of course.
Crazy.
Anybody seen this before? Or something equally cool?

Actually, a "switch pitcher" has happened before. On September 28th, 1995, Greg Harris of the Expos pitched with both hands in a game against Cincinatti. How is that for obscure baseball trivia?
