The Black River Fantasy Football League is entering its fourth season. Made up 12 teams in two divisions, the Flatlanders and Green Mountain Boys, the league drafts NFL players to create their teams and play 14 regular season games followed by two games leading to a "Super Bowl" championship match.
According to BRFFL Commissioner Ralph Pace, 11 of the 12 teams have been formed for this season. "We have one team opening," he said, "for anyone willing to take his or her chances against some very experienced fantasy footballers." He noted that the league consisted of owners from Southern California, Georgia, Delaware, Rhode Island, Florida, Massachusetts, New York, and Vermont.
The winner of the BRFFL "Super Bowl" receives an attractive football trophy.
Anyone interested in assuming the open slot should email Pace at [email protected] for more information. The league's live draft is scheduled for August 11. The league web site is found at http://blackriver.football.nfl.com/.
