Flowers are blooming and vegetables are thriving in Mt. Holly. From 9:30 until 4:00 on July 23, ten gardens throughout the town will be open for the 5th annual Garden Tour. Come while away a summer day on this self-guided tour of diverse, high altitude gardens. Beds of perennials, lilies and organic vegetables will be on display, along with a variety of landscaping features and a backdrop of tall trees, fields, and mountain views. Tickets and a map of the garden sites and picnic spots can be purchased the day of the tour at the Mount Holly Community Center and Library on the Green in Belmont for $12 ($6 for kids 16 and under). This fundraiser benefits the ongoing restoration of our historic Community Center and Library. The tour will take place rain or shine. (Information at: 802-259-2566 or [email protected].)
