Please mark your calendars to attend the MOUNT HOLLY SCHOOL SPRING AUCTION on March 20th from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Odd Fellows Hall in Belmont to benefit Enrichment Programs for our Elementary School. These programs may include a greenhouse in the future to generate sustainable food for our hot lunch program, as well as grow plants for future fundraising campaigns and the farmer’s market. Other programs may include “Artist & Residency Programs” and Technology.
Line up your baby sitter’s fro this adult night out and come on down to celebrate spring for a silent and live auction with over $10,000 worth of items donated by local businesses, artisans and hand made items from every grade in the school! Eldrid French will be our auctioneer with live music interludes by Joanna Tanger. Appetizers and desserts will be served that will all be donated by volunteers and restaurants. We will also have a cash bar with beer, wine, soft drinks and coffee. Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Belmont Store and Hunter Lea Gallery & Frameshop in Ludlow for $10.00, or at the door for $12.00.
Among the numerous items which will be available for preview at 5:00 at the Odd Fellows Hall are artwork, photography, jewelry, baskets galore for every occasion, “pamper yourself”, wine and cheese, gardening baskets, tickets to a Broadway Show in NYC in April, gift certificates, clothing, items for the home, dining certificates and food products, as well as items for “him” including mulch, firewood, wood pellets, oil changes just to name a few!
On the auction block will be priceless items made by each class: a quilt made by the pre-school class, three hand painted aprons by kindergarten and first grades, a hand made basket from the third grade, two hand made stepping stones from the fourth grade, four planting pots decorated by the fifth grade class as well as four beautiful paintings made in art class by grades three through sixth. Additionally, we have Boston Bruins autographed print of #33 Zdeno Chara and an autographed puck by Mark Savard. For those Red Sox fans, we have a Jason Varitek 8 x 10 framed autographed photo!
There’s something for everybody, please come and bid for the kids! Have a fun-filled adult evening out for a great cause…any contribution is appreciated! Supporting our school helps support our children’s success and future contributions to our world!
