MONTPELIER — It's official. The Three Penny Taproom is expanding.

Miller Sports located next door is calling it quits and the Penny is going to take over that space and basically double in size.

Renovations are to begin next month and it appears that the bar will have to be closed for some time during construction.

But as Scott said, this is going to be epic.

With a full kitchen, Chef Matthew will now have more than a hot plate and toaster oven to build a menu.

Scott is estimating seating for 30 patrons.
