After his 33-point performance last week, I asked Chris to send along a note about how things are over in Germany, both on and off the basketball court. Here's what he said about his experiences so far:
"So far I am loving Germany. I am situated in a small town called Grevenbroich in West Germany about 15 minutes outside the big city of Dusseldorf. The town is small and is quite similar in size to Barre and is surrounded by farmland. The people are very nice and I really enjoy my teammates and coach.
I acquired an agent this summer with the help of Joe Williams, and Brian Graves contacted me and asked if I wanted to come and play on his old team. They were looking for someone at the wing spot and I fit the position perfectly. Our team is trying to move up to the 2nd division and that is why I am out here to help this team win games and move up the division.
It's great playing with Brian again. The last couple games of the Frost Heaves season we both were on the floor together a good amount and we have a good chemistry out there and connected well with the alley opps as we have done so far numerous times during our scrimmages and games. His style of play in which he pushes the ball up the court quickly works well with my game because I like to leak out and run the floor. The European style of play is a little bit different but Coach Will did a good job preparing me in regards to my footwork, so it hasn't been too hard to adjust. So far I have been playing well. In our first game I tallied 26 points, the second game I had 33 points and the third game I had 19. We have a good team and I am very confident in everyone on this team and I believe that with the amount of talent that we have, we quite possibly could win every game and thus win the entire league."
Thanks, Chris!
