I wake up this morning to an e-mail alerting me to the fact that former Frost Heaves coach and current Bakersfield Jam coach Will Voigt was ejected from the Jam's game at the L.A. D-Fenders last night. After some research I can confirm this. While I can't tell what exactly happened, it appears Voigt was hit with two technical fouls with 11:15 left in the third quarter.
In looking at the play-by-play of the game provided on the Jam's Web site, it says a Jam player was assessed an offensive foul and committed a turnover right off the bat at the start of the third quarter just prior to Voigt's technicals and subsequent ejection.
The Jam only scored 15 points in the first and second quarters and were down 41-30 at the half. They won the third and fourth quarters (25-24 and 27025) and ended up losing 87-82. They are off to an 0-2 start and host Utah for a pair of games on Thursday and Saturday.
