The Williamstown athletic department will host a Coaches vs Student-Athletes (grades 9-12) basketball game to benefit a memorial fund set up in memory of Melissa Jenkins, a St. Johnsbury science teacher and coach who was killed last week.
The game will be held April 18, 2012 at 6 p.m. in the Williamstown Middle/High School gym and costs $4 for adults and $2 for students, both for participants and spectators.
All proceeds will be given in memory of Jenkins. Checks should be made out to "The Melissa Jenkins Memorial Fund." The school's goal is $1,000.
On a flyer advertising the event is a quote from Jenkins that reads: "Love those the most that need it the most."
