We got tremendous news from the Harwood athletic department today: the softball team can return to Dac Rowe Field THIS spring! Here's the email from athletic director Sue Duprat:
Thanks to some extraordinary efforts by the Town of Waterbury, we have been given the go-ahead to start practicing and playing at Dac Rowe again!
This is an amazing announcement! We couldn’t be happier to be bringing our Softball team back home where they belong! We are hoping for a big home opener event on the 15th when we host Northfield, so plan to come over and share in our joy!
We still have to get bases etc in, but are expecting to play the reaming “home” games on our schedule actually as home games: the schedule is listed below.

Congratulations, Highlanders, and I'll echo everyone's BIG thanks to those in Waterbury public works that made it possible for this team to play a bonafide home game this season. Bravo, Waterbury!
