MONTPELIER - Officials from Gov. Peter Shumlin's administration will brief lawmakers today on how Vermont will pay for costly flood damage repairs stemming from Tropical Storm Irene.
On Tuesday, top Shumlin administration officials, including the transportation secretary and the head of the Department of Buildings and General Services, will brief the Joint Fiscal Committee in Montpelier.
The briefing comes as the state, communities and individuals are struggling to repair damages to roads, bridges and homes that were damaged or destroyed in the devastating flooding of Aug. 28 and 29.
