Many of our readers and even a reporter were down in Woodstock Saturday for the town's Goodbye Irene benefit concert featuring Joe Perry of Aerosmith.
Here's what reporter Christian Avard had to say on Facebook: "Amazed by the incredible turnout at today's "Good Bye Irene" benefit concert in Woodstock. They filled the Woodstock Town Hall Theater to capacity, the Woodstock Elementary gymnasium (where they watched on closed-circuit TV), and the Town Green where people could listen to the show on loudspeakers. Woodstock got nailed by Tropical Storm Irene and to see the community bonding take place was powerful ... plus I talked to Tom Rush! See the story in Tuesday's Rutland Herald."
