State editor Rob Mitchell found this on the Web here. Could be a fun thing to go see and the weather is supposed to have improved by then.
This wet fall means a muddy course and some challenging bicycle handling for this year's 21st Annual West Hill Shop Cyclocross Race and Vermont State Championships this Sunday at the West Hill Shop in Putney.
This historic race is a favored event among the region's cyclocross athletes because of it's challenging course and spectator spirit.
More than 150 racers are expected to test their skills from kids to pros on a course that encircles the shop, making for great spectating.
As a fundraiser, the Putney Central School PTO and students will be selling homemade burritos, hot and cold drinks, baked goods, snacks and more.
The West Hill Shop will be open with a 10 percent race-day discount.
So don't miss the excitement, the food and the deals. For more race information www.westhillshop.com or questions [email protected] or 802-387-5718.
