NORTHFIELD — A Northfield man was arrested on simple assault charges after police investigated an unrelated incident.
Kevin Lacillade, 21, was arrested Dec. 20 by police who were investigating an unrelated complaint and discovered he had allegedly accosted a man earlier in the day.
Police said they collected statements during an interview with Lacillade, who reportedly admitted he assaulted a Middlesex resident who was in Northfield visiting a friend. Police said Lacillade admitted to pushing and punching the man several times in the back and in the back of the head.
Lacillade was cited to appear in Barre criminal court in late January to answer the charge.
