VERNON — Firefighters said a faulty wood stove is to blame for a fire at a house in Vernon.
Vernon Fire Chief Todd Capen told the Brattleboro Reformer that flames were burning inside a partition wall.
It was necessary to remove part of the chimney to ensure the fire hadn’t spread.
No one was hurt as a result of the fire Sunday night.
