BARRE — Next Chapter Bookstore held a wildly successful grand opening over the weekend, but we’re told it will have two days of “friendly” competition starting at noon Friday.
That’s “friendly” as in the Friends of the Aldrich Public Library, who are hoping to unload a boatload of paperbacks for a price that simply can’t be beat.
How do seven books for $1 grab you?
Edith Harding and her fellow Aldrich friends are hoping it piques your interest and prompts you to swing by the library from noon to 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday for what they’re billing as a paperback fiction bonanza.
There are more than a few cold winter nights ahead, and it never hurts to have a healthy supply of good reading material close at hand.
