The driver of this van was transported to the Rutland Regional Medical Center after crashing into a fence and tree in front of Garden Time on Route 7 in Rutland Town Monday morning at about 9 a.m., according to firefighters at the scene. The Rutland Town Fire Department and Vermont State Police responded. The courier van was carrying a box of Red Cross blood and U.S. Post Office mail. Police said they would issue a press release.
