BRATTLEBORO — Brattleboro police say an 82-year-old man was hit by a car while walking his dog on a main street of the Vermont town.
The man was hit about 6:15 p.m. Monday while on Western Avenue by a 26-year-old driver.
The pedestrian, whose name was not released, was airlifted to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H., and his dog was taken to a veterinary clinic.
Neither the condition of the man or the dog was released.
The name of the driver has not been released.
The investigation is continuing.
