From our Rutland reporter and food guru Gordon Dritschilo comes a post titled: Valentine's Day Dinner - Hard Version:
I know, I know, I was supposed to post this yesterday. I got side-tracked -- that "Firefly" marathon wasn't going to watch itself.
Rack of lamb is, of course, a classic. It tastes great and looks gorgeous on the plate. Getting the crust right, though, never seems to be as easy as it sounds -- there is usually foul language, pleading and crying audible from kitchen when I grapple with it. The end result is always worth the trouble.
This recipe is adapted (by cutting corners and screwing up, mostly) from "How to Cook Meat," which, as I have mentioned before, is one of my favorite and most-used cookbooks.
lamb is always a great dinner option, not only to valentine's day :)
