BENNINGTON – The public is invited to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center’s “Heart and Soul” event, a fundraiser for the hospital’s cardiology services, on March 31 at the Equinox Resort in Manchester.
Wines, hors d’oeuvres and light dinner fare will be served and guests can dance to the sound of one Bennington-based band, the Prescription.
Dr. Scott Rogge, a founding partner at Bennington Cardiology, said he and the other members of the practice were excited to again bring Heart and Soul to the community.
“Heart and Soul is an opportunity for people to have a wonderful evening and raise funds to help (Southwester Vermont Health Care) continue to offer the best in cardiac care,” Rogge said.
The event features a silent auction and a select one-hour wine tasting that will showcase three California cabernet sauvignons: a 2009 Louis M. Martini, a 2007 Hall Napa Valley and a 2004 Hawkeye Mountain.
The Prescription, featuring local physician Peter King, will be joined by the Side Effect Horns to round out the rock and roll sound to full dance band complement.
Tickets for the event and the select wine tasting are $100 or $75 for the event only. To purchase tickets or to find out more about becoming a sponsor for the event, call the development office at Southwestern Vermont Health Care at 447-5088.
