Police responded to a complaint on Blodgett Lane in Hartland Sunday evening about a dispute between a landlord and his tenant over money. The dispute between tenant Edward Allen and landlord Michael Airheart led to Airhart confronting Alen with a knife and a baseball bat, according to police.
The dispute escalated, a glass door and a window were smashed, and Airheart fled the scene in his mother's car, according to police. Airheart was arrested at his home in Weathersfield, and taken to Southern State Correctional Facility in Sprinfield for lack of $3,500 bail. He's scheduled to appear in criminal court on Tuesday to answer the charges.
