Galbraith to run for State Senate

Former ambassador Peter Galbraith will run for the Vermont State Senate.He's running as a Democrat for the seat that Sen. Peter Shumlin of Windham County now has (but he's running for governor this year).

He said:

"I was involved in Vermont politics in the '70s. This is my home, and I care about my home."

Galbraith is well-known throughout the state and the world as quite the statesman. But he won't win the Gawker nomination based on this headline: Oil Profiteer to Run for Vermont State Senate.
