Where's the love?

Were one in a snippy mood, one might speculate about what David Dress has against holidays, scheduling one committee meeting on MLK Day and now another on Valentine's Day.

The Finance Committee meeting tonight will be the end of a day that started at 7:30 a.m. with the latest legislative breakfast. Michael Costa, director of the Vermont Blue Ribbon Tax Commission, laid out a lot of interesting facts about the tax structure in the state. Look for a story on that talk in Tuesday's Herald.

It doesn't show signs of stopping...

My wife skied to work today and would like to thank everyone responsible for the sidewalks being so well-groomed.

My coworker Cristina Kumka will have a piece in tomorrow on what the storm is doing to a variety of city businesses.

The gym I go to closed early, but I wouldn't be able to get there anyway because my driveway hasn't been plowed. I suppose it would be good exercise to walk there, but if I was in good enough shape for that I wouldn't need to go to the gym.

The weather outside is frightful...

Actually, the weather isn't all that bad at the moment, but the roads are hideous. I was going to go over to the mall and get a haircut on my lunch break but I chickened out.

In all fairness, I am due for a new set of tires.
