Meet the new boss...

...and, yes, he's the same as the old boss.

The Board of Aldermen quickly and unanimously re-elected David Allaire as its president tonight. Sharon Davis made the nomination and immediately moved to close nominations.

Committee assignments will be announced later this week, though Allaire dispensed with one set tonight, maintaining Christopher Robinson as chairman of the General Committee.

"We do have a General Committee meeting tomorrow night," Allaire noted. "It would be appropriate to know who the members of the General Committee are."

Allaire rounded out the committee with William Notte, Charles Romeo, Robert Barrett and David Wallstrom.
