City Treasurer Wendy Wilton said she expected the rooms, meals and entertainment tax, which raises about $435,000 a year, to take a hit because of Tropical Storm Irene.
It did, she said, but the last two months of the year made up the gap.
"September took a hit," she said. "People got out in December and November. ... we're right where we were last year as a cumulative."
